May 5th...
It's been a long time coming and the day is finally here...Malaysia's 13th General Election will probably be one of the most prominent and pertinent event to take place in this country throughout its 56 years of so called democracy.
As an 80s baby myself, I must say that the voice of the current generation of youngsters crying for change could not be clearer and louder than it has ever been. It is very dissapointing to peruse through the news and through various social media outlets to see the continuous flow of trickery and nonsense that the ruling coalition has resorted to in order to maintain their imaginary position in power.
I love Malaysia. It will always be home and I believe that this country is blessed abundantly with many gifts and with citizens that truly wish for a better Malaysia.
Although not physically there at the moment, I await with bated breath in the hopes that the results of this election would truly be THE stepping stone that initiates changes that have been a long time coming.
